POOOLY

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

This policy applies to the POOOLY platform, the POOOLY customer app, POOOLY Pro for companies, and the Worker app.

1. Data we collect

We collect account details (name, email address, phone number and account identifier), pool addresses, service request details, and the photos, reports and notes you submit. We also collect company details, documents, prices, team membership, worker tasks, attendance records, invoices, settlements and complaints according to the user’s role. Contact and account-deletion forms collect the information you enter to process your request.

When you choose to upload a company bank-account or IBAN document, we process its contents to manage the company profile and related dealings. Documents are linked to the company account and are available to authorized people under the platform’s permissions.

When a company publishes offers in its catalogue, the service and product names, descriptions, prices, availability and catalogue images it chooses to publish are visible to platform visitors, including people who are not signed in. These published images differ from private account documents or reports, which are subject to access permissions. Catalogue images must show the service or product. Do not upload personal or financial documents, or images containing private information that is not intended for public viewing.

Optional Google and Apple sign-in

You can browse published companies, services, products and prices without signing in. Creating an order or using a private account action requires sign-in. Private customer, team and financial records remain subject to account permissions.

When you choose to continue with Google or Apple, we use the account identifier, email address and basic profile information, such as your name and profile image if provided by the provider and shared with your consent to create your account or sign you in. Apple may let you share a relay email address instead of your personal address and may provide your name only on the first authorization. This feature does not request access to contacts, calendars or Google Drive files. Choosing a sign-in provider does not automatically grant company, worker or administrator permissions.

Authentication takes place with your chosen provider. Its processing of your provider account is covered by its privacy policy: Google and Apple. Social sign-in is optional and does not constitute marketing consent.

Location and job location sharing

Customer location and service address: When you choose to use device location to add a service location, the customer app requests location permission and uses coordinates to fill in the pool location or service address you save to your account. You can enter the address manually instead of allowing device-location access. Service location data is linked to the account and request and is available to authorized parties to provide the service.

Worker location sharing during a job: Location sharing is optional and does not start merely by opening the Worker app or signing in. The worker assigned to an active job starts sharing by pressing “Start location sharing” and confirming the message explaining that the location will be visible to the responsible company and the job customer. This requires location services and the appropriate permission; on iPhone, continuing sharing during navigation or while the phone is locked requires “Always” location access. During sharing, the app sends precise location readings, which may continue when switching to another app or locking the screen. The phone’s location indicator is shown where provided by the operating system. Reading frequency depends on the system, device and connection; the app limits sending attempts to roughly one every ten seconds at most. We do not guarantee immediate updates or a fixed update interval.

Stopping sharing and access to location: The worker can press “Stop location sharing” at any time. The app stops sending when signing out or when the account or its mode changes. Job permissions revoke sharing when the job ends, the assigned worker changes, or eligibility is lost. Merely moving to another screen within the app does not stop sharing that the worker enabled. Location permission can also be withdrawn in the phone’s settings. The location point is available to the assigned worker, the job customer and the responsible company owner under account and job permissions; this path does not provide public access or a general administrator bypass.

Freshness and retention of the location point: The live-sharing path retains the latest point for the job and replaces it with a newer point; it does not create a sequential route log or a shift-movement history. If no newer reading arrives, the live point expires for display roughly ninety seconds after its reading time, and an expired point is not shown as live. A confirmed stop or loss of job eligibility clears its coordinates from the live-sharing record. If the server cannot confirm stopping, the app stops sending and the last point remains subject to expiry. A maintenance procedure clears expired coordinates when it runs; display expiry does not guarantee that every stored or backup copy is deleted at that same moment. Service records and backups are subject to their own retention and deletion policy.

2. How we use your data

We use your data to show your request to suitable technicians, facilitate communication between you and the technician who accepts your request, and display service reports in your account. We do not use your data for marketing without your consent.

3. Data sharing

We share request information (service type, area and pool details) with available technicians on the platform so they can submit offers. Contact and work details are available to the company, technician and authorized team members according to their relationship to the request and their permissions. Hosting, file-storage and authentication services process data to operate the platform. When you open WhatsApp or an external payment link, that third party’s policy applies to the data you provide to it.

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to route app notifications, including notification tokens and app-installation identifiers; we associate tokens registered with us with the account to route notifications to it. Firebase libraries and their data-transport services may also process technical information about the device, operating system, app version and service-component quality, including diagnostic data and data used to analyze and improve service quality, depending on the libraries’ behavior and settings. Permission to display notifications on the phone is separate from technical processing by these libraries; denying permission does not necessarily stop all technical SDK data. See Firebase privacy information.

When displaying a map from an external tile provider, such as OpenStreetMap in the default configuration, the app sends requests corresponding to the map area and zoom level. The provider receives the connection data needed for those requests, and the requests may reveal the area being displayed. When you choose to open a service location in an external map app, the app passes the service-location coordinates to it. The external provider’s processing is subject to its policies; see the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy when using its service.

4. Data security

We use HTTPS connections and access permissions to protect accounts and files. The apps store sign-in sessions and app settings locally. Location, camera and photo permissions can be revoked in device settings; you may then need to enter an address manually or omit an image attachment.

5. Your rights

You can request changes to or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us through the “Contact us” page, or submit a request to delete your account and data through the account-deletion page.

6. Data retention and deletion

We retain account and service data while you use the platform. You can start an account and data deletion request through Help and Privacy in the apps or through the account-deletion page without installing the app. The deletion page explains verification, timing and data excluded from deletion. For privacy questions, use the contact page.
